Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what information VOXGAB processes, why it is used, how it supports chat, safety, matching and VOX subscriptions, and the choices available to users.

Effective: 14 September 2026 Version: 2026-09-14-1

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed when you use VOXGAB, including registration and account features, public chat rooms, direct messages, uploaded media, friends/connections, reporting and moderation, Resonance, Moments, Echo Memory, security systems and optional VOX subscription features.

VOXGAB is NOT an adult-content or adult chat service. Access is restricted to users aged 18 or older to protect minors and keep children off the platform.

2. Information VOXGAB processes

Account and profile information

Depending on the information you provide and the features you use, this can include username/display name, password hash, email address, age, profile description, avatar, account status, preferences, account creation time and recent activity information.

Conversation and social information

VOXGAB processes public room messages, direct messages, room participation, friendships/connections, reactions, reports, uploaded images/media references and other information you choose to submit through the Service.

Technical and security information

The Service processes technical data needed to operate and protect the platform, which can include IP address, session information, request path/method, rate-limit activity, authentication failures, protected-media access failures and security-event metadata. Session protection also uses a one-way hash derived from the browser user-agent to help detect unexpected session changes.

Social intelligence information

When relevant features are enabled or you opt in, VOXGAB can process interests, discovery preferences, room-presence/session information and normalized behavioral vectors used by Resonance, Moments and Echo Memory. Saved Echoes store an aggregate fingerprint and related interest/context data rather than a copy of the original conversation.

3. How information is used

VOXGAB uses information as reasonably necessary to:

  • create, authenticate and maintain user accounts;
  • deliver public chat, direct messages, friends/connections, media and profile features;
  • provide discovery, Resonance, Moments and Echo Memory where enabled;
  • remember user settings and feature preferences;
  • operate VOX subscriptions and determine paid-feature entitlements;
  • detect spam, abuse, unauthorized access, fraud and attacks;
  • support reporting, moderation, account enforcement and platform integrity;
  • diagnose faults, maintain the Service and preserve operational audit records where necessary.

4. Chat, direct messages and social features

Messages must be stored and transmitted so conversations can be shown to participants and so permitted history features can work. Public room messages are visible to users who can access the relevant room. Direct messages are delivered to the participants according to the platform's access rules.

Uploaded media can be linked to an owner, room or intended user so VOXGAB can enforce media-access rules. Reports and moderation records can be associated with users, content or platform events when needed to investigate or enforce the rules.

Friends, discovery and social-intelligence features may use account identifiers internally to connect preferences and activity to the correct account. They do not change the fact that users remain responsible for what they choose to share with other people.

5. Resonance, Moments and Echo Memory

VOXGAB's social-intelligence features use deterministic product signals such as interaction pace, message-length rhythm, question/reaction ratios, reciprocity, topic variety, interests and room context to calculate normalized vectors and similarity scores.

Discovery availability is controlled by stored social preferences such as people discovery, Moment availability and Echo matching. These features are designed to operate only according to the applicable product settings and opt-in state.

An Echo stores an aggregate fingerprint owned by the user who saved it. The current Echo data model does not require the original conversation partner's identity to be stored in the Echo object itself.

6. Safety, moderation and security telemetry

VOXGAB operates security controls including authenticated sessions, CSRF protection, rate limits, access checks and behavioral security events. Security records can include an event type, timestamp, involved account identifiers where applicable, pseudonymous network/browser hashes, request path and method, outcome, reason and structured event details.

This information is used to distinguish ordinary activity from suspicious or abusive behavior, apply platform protections, investigate incidents and maintain an audit trail for security or moderation decisions.

7. VOX subscriptions and Stripe

VOXGAB uses Stripe to process VOX subscription payments. VOXGAB stores the Stripe identifiers and subscription state needed to connect a payment subscription to the correct VOXGAB account. This can include a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, price identifier, subscription status, billing-period dates, cancellation state and an email snapshot associated with the Stripe customer mapping.

Stripe processes payment details under its own privacy terms. VOXGAB does not need to store a user's full payment-card number in its application database in order to maintain VOX access.

Webhook event identifiers, event types and processing status may be stored so payment events can be processed safely and duplicate events can be detected.

8. Cookies and session storage

VOXGAB uses a session cookie named VOXGABSESSID to maintain authenticated and security state. It is configured as an HTTP-only cookie, uses SameSite=Lax, and is marked Secure when the connection is HTTPS. The application also uses short-lived functional cookies in limited flows, including embedded/referrer handling and ban-state handling.

These cookies are used for operation and security rather than advertising profiling. This development build does not claim the use of third-party advertising or analytics cookies unless such services are separately introduced and disclosed.

9. When information is shared

Information is shared only as required by the feature being used or by legitimate platform operations. This can include:

  • other VOXGAB users, when you post in a room, send a direct message, expose profile information or otherwise use a social feature;
  • Stripe, when payment/subscription processing is required;
  • hosting, infrastructure or technical service providers that process data on behalf of the Service;
  • competent authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, safety obligations or the protection of legal rights.

VOXGAB does not describe personal data as being “sold” in this development policy. If the business model later introduces a practice that materially changes this position, the Privacy Policy must be updated before that practice is used.

10. Retention and deletion

Different categories of information are kept for different periods according to feature operation, platform settings, account status, security needs, billing/dispute requirements, backup integrity and applicable legal obligations. VOXGAB should not promise a universal retention period where the live system does not implement one.

Users can use the available account-deletion feature to request permanent deletion of their VOXGAB account. The implemented deletion process removes account-linked product data subject to information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute handling, legal compliance or technical integrity.

11. Your choices and privacy controls

Available controls can include profile/settings changes, social discovery opt-ins, Moment availability, Echo matching, friendship/ignore controls, content deletion where offered, subscription cancellation and account deletion.

Additional access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability or complaint rights can apply depending on the user's jurisdiction and the legal basis for processing.

12. External links and third-party content

Users may post links or media that lead to third-party websites or services. Those services control their own privacy practices. Opening external content can result in information being sent to the third party according to the browser and that third party's systems.

VOXGAB's Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party services.

13. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated when VOXGAB's features, data practices, infrastructure or legal obligations materially change. The version and effective date above identify the policy text presented by the Service.

Where applicable law or the nature of a change requires additional notice or renewed acceptance, VOXGAB can introduce that process separately.
